Skill 3 Update in My Dino Life

Early August 2026 added a third skill column to My Dino Life and teased VIP skins. Primal Park did not publish a Trello card. The change showed up as a menu. A recorded how-to session on 6 August had to discover prices live while dodging a 2x Kill banner. The Roblox universe stamp later moved to 11 August 2026. This page is the fan patch note for that window.

For node-by-node reading, use the skill tree guide. For the first-session video that shows the menu, stay on how to play — that is the only page with a verified YouTube embed. We will not clone the same video ID across the wiki.

What changed

• A Skill 3 column appeared next to the older upgrade lanes.
• Nodes cost Cash. Early Speed-related buys in the recorded session sat near 75, then later Speed ranks asked for hundreds.
• A VIP skin tease appeared. It is not a finished season-pass article. Do not spend the first 100 Cash from RELEASE on it.
• Event UI and more Shop panels stay locked until the food-orb quest completes. That gate predates Skill 3 and still bites new players.

The official description still prints M1 / R, five biomes, Microraptor → Titanosaurus, Mosasaurus, T. rex, USE CODE: RELEASE, Early Alpha, limited inventory, and “Inspired by MorphUp.” If that paragraph changes, this page and the codes hub change with it.

What did not change

• The game is still Early Alpha. Bugs and a limited inventory are still the warning on the place.
• VIP servers are still disabled on the universe. You cannot buy a private lobby to test new nodes. See public PvP.
• There is still no public Trello and no verified official Discord on the experience. Fake “patch leak” files are covered on script safety.
• Lookalike codes from My Dino Park and Dinosaur Life still fail. Table them on wrong dinosaur game.

How to spend after the update

1. Redeem RELEASE (100 Cash) with the redeem steps.
2. Buy Speed before almost anything else. The upgrade priority list exists for this sentence.
3. Farm NPCs, not players, for the next stack — Cash farm.
4. Take evolve prompts on one career: land vs water.
5. Ignore VIP skins until you can outrun the NPC that funds the next Skill 3 node.

If Shop is missing, you have not finished the orb quest. That is not a Skill 3 bug.

How we will update this page

When Primal Park names a mid-morph, prices a skin shop, or turns VIP servers on, this article gains a dated paragraph. Until then we will not invent a patch number to look current. Watch the place description, the Primal Park group, in-game banners, and the updates hub.

Skill 3 is a Cash sink with a new column. Play it like the rest of Early Alpha: redeem, Speed, quiet biome, then vanity. The starter checklist is the same list with boxes. Use it after a patch night when the new column looks louder than the orb quest.
