My Dino Life Dinosaur Tier List
Ranked by safety, farm, and PvP — only names we can verify.
This list ranks roles, not secret base damage. The official My Dino Life description names a start (Microraptor), land goals (T. rex, Titanosaurus), and a water goal (Mosasaurus). Recorded sessions show extra mid-morphs without reliable English labels. Those mid-morphs are grouped, not invented as fake species.
Compare this page with the species guide if you want natural history flavor, and with the tier list hub if you want the upgrade list in the same sitting.
S — hold these if you can reach them
Mosasaurus (water). Best “I would like to play the game” morph on a violent public server. Land apex players often refuse to commit to a swim. You still lose if you beach during a 2x Kill event or if another aquatic hunter is better funded. Farm is strong against water NPCs once Speed exists.
Titanosaurus (land). The advertised end of the land line. Wins open-ground trades and makes Forest spawn a buffet. Slow enough that a kiting mid-morph with Speed can waste your time. Bring it to Desert and Snow, not to a swimming contest.
A — win fights, demand a plan
T. rex (land). The name everyone recognizes. Excellent bite threat, worse at ignoring water, and a magnet for people who want to film a kill. If you reach T. rex without Speed ranks, a smaller morph will kite you until an event banner finishes the joke.
Late land mid-morphs. The unnamed bodies between Microraptor and the apex names. Better bite than the start, still food for Titanosaurus. Use them as farm platforms, not as identities.
B — learning tools
Early land mid-morphs. You will pass through these whether you like them or not. Their job is to survive long enough to buy the next Speed rank and reach a biome you chose on the evolution planner. Do not spend Cash on vanity here.
Wetlands generalists. If you linger on the mud, you get both land and water threats. Fine as a crossing. Poor as a main.
C — the mandatory start
Microraptor. Not a pick. A condition. Low bite, low forgiveness, high orb efficiency because you need the evolve prompt immediately. Play it like a tutorial that other people can grief. The how to play and survival guides are written for this row.
What we refuse to rank
- Carnotaurus, Deinosuchus, Pteranodon lists from Dinosaur Life
- Egg rarities and park income from My Dino Park
- Fake percentage tables (“Titanosaurus 12% spawn”) that no official UI shows
If a TikTok tier list includes those names under this title, close it. Wrong place ID.
How to climb the list without lying
- Leave Microraptor via orbs, not via a duel.
- Pick land or water on the biome map.
- Fund Speed from the upgrade list.
- Treat mid-morphs as stairs.
- Only then aim at T. rex, Titanosaurus, or Mosasaurus.
A player in Mosasaurus with two Speed ranks will beat a Titanosaurus tourist who spent Cash on a VIP skin. The letter on this page is a role. The skill tree is the actual rank.
When Primal Park names the mid-morphs, this table grows. Until then, climb the line you can hold, not the line a thumbnail promised.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Early Alpha sessions.
What is the best dinosaur in My Dino Life?
Mosasaurus if you want to avoid land hunters. Titanosaurus if you can hold open ground. Both need Speed.
Is Microraptor ever good?
Only as the mandatory start. Evolve out of it as soon as the orb bar fills.
Why is T. rex not S-tier?
It wins land bites but gets kited and dived. Titanosaurus and Mosasaurus cover those jobs better.
Where is Carnotaurus?
That name belongs to other Roblox dino games. It is not on the official My Dino Life description.
