How to Play My Dino Life
Eat orbs, evolve, spend Cash — and stop feeding the nearest apex.
My Dino Life is a Roblox survival morph game from Primal Park. You start as a small Microraptor, eat glowing food orbs to fill XP, and evolve toward land apex forms such as T. rex and Titanosaurus or a water apex such as Mosasaurus. Other players can attack you the entire time. That last sentence is the part the thumbnail leaves out.
This page is the first-session walkthrough. The recorded video in the middle of the article is a real August 2026 session that also shows the Skill 3 menu and two redeem attempts. Use it as motion reference, then come back to the text for the order of operations.
Minute one
Join the official place. Confirm the creator is Primal Park so you did not land in a park tycoon. The HUD draws a quest line: collect food orbs (the session on video used a count of 15). Ignore other dinosaurs until that bar completes. Completing it unlocks more of the menu, including the Shop where codes live.
Controls on desktop are left click (M1) to bite and R for the species special. Mobile uses tap and an on-screen special button. A longer control map sits on the controls page.
The loop after the quest
- Walk or swim toward orbs. Each pickup adds XP.
- When the evolve prompt appears, take it. Staying small in a public server is how you become someone else’s event farm.
- After a morph, look at the skill tree. Buy Speed before almost anything else.
- Attack small NPCs, not players, to earn Cash. Players fight back and often out-evolve you.
- Repeat until you either reach a biome you like or you die and drop toward the starter form.
Death is not a full account wipe. Cash stays. The morph may not. The video session picked up an Extra Life pickup and still lost the current form after a chase. Plan around that.
Land or water on purpose
The official description lists five biomes: Forest, Desert, Snow, Wetlands, and Aquatic. Forest is where most people spawn and die. Aquatic is where the recorded session fled after repeated land attacks. A water morph is not “better”; it is a different threat map. Compare the two careers on the evolution planner and the biome map.
If a 2x Kill event banner is up, treat open ground as a trap. Events are covered on the events page. You can still collect orbs on the edge of the map. You do not have to participate.
Skill 3 in plain language
The August update added a third skill column and teased VIP skins. Nodes cost Cash. Early Speed-related buys in the recorded session sat near 75, then later Speed ranks asked for hundreds. That is why RELEASE exists. Redeem it with the how to redeem steps before you wander.
A full node-by-node reading lives on the skill tree guide. Do not buy a late morph unlock if you cannot outrun the NPC you need to fund the next node.
A clean first-hour script
- Redeem
RELEASE(and checkSORRYFORBUGSif you already died). - Finish the orb quest.
- Evolve at the first prompt.
- Buy Speed.
- Hunt NPCs in a quiet pocket, or dive if Forest is crowded.
- Open the starter checklist if you want the same list as boxes.
If you want ranks after you understand the loop, use the dinosaur tier list. If you want the Roblox page and the group, use official links.
My Dino Life is Early Alpha. Inventory space is limited and the HUD will keep moving. Play the loop, not the trailer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Early Alpha sessions.
How do I play My Dino Life as a beginner?
Finish the food-orb quest, evolve when prompted, redeem RELEASE, buy Speed, and hunt NPCs instead of players.
What do I press to attack?
M1 / left click bites. R uses the species special. Mobile uses tap plus the special button.
Why did I shrink after I died?
Death can drop you toward an earlier morph. Extra Life pickups do not always keep the current form.
Should I play during a 2x Kill event?
Only if you are already large. New Microraptors should collect orbs on the map edge or move to water.
